Equipoise was founded in September 1998, to provide specialist advice to oil and gas companies engaged in equity, or tract participation dispute. Since then, our company has grown organically to offer a full suite of subsurface services, undertaken with the same technical rigour that tract participation requires.

Our team of geologists, geophysicists and engineers has undertaken many different tasks, from frontier basin play screening, to field model rebuilding to support rehabilitation, to full company valuations should the need arise. Our expertise covers many of the world’s petroleum provinces.

We also act as Competent Person or Expert. In addition, we offer specialist multi-deterministic and stochastic realizations of the subsurface, which enables partners and ourselves to quantify and visualize the uncertainty in any estimates we make.
